CHALK PAINT ® 101 - This is a great class for anyone who wants to get started painting with Chalk Paint or has used it already and wants to become better acquainted.  We will go over various techniques such as two color distressed, modern or smooth finish, rustic, and soft gilded finish as well as how to use the clear and dark waxes.  After 3 hours, you will leave with a completed project and confident and excited to start your next painting project!  All materials will be provided and coffee and water will be available.  $95 fee.  Class is held at Paddywac's Studio, 201 E. Main St., Anoka, MN.  Class size is limited and payment in advance is required to reserve your spot.   PAINT N' PLAY NIGHT - Gather your friends for an evening of fun.  BRING YOUR OWN PIECE (pre-approved) OR WE CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH AN ITEM TO PAINT.  This evening is focused on fun and bringing home your adorable completed item.  Instruction is given in the basic application and history of Chalk Paint®, color consultation, distressing, clear and dark wax application and troubleshooting will be discussed.  Your choice of color and all supplies are included in this fun and rewarding workshop.  Items to bring might include a small table, couple of picture frames, in other words, a small item you can carry in by yourself in one hand.  This is a 2 1/2 hour class so time is limited.  Quick and easy using CHALK PAINT® and we do the cleanup.  Since the focus is on fun here, feel free to bring your favorite adult beverage to enjoy with friends. Class fee $59 and one Chalk Paint paint color of your choice, wax tips, and all supplies.  Class is held at Paddywac's, 201 E. Main St., Anoka, MN.  Class size is limited and payment in advance is required to reserve your spot. DIY KITCHEN REHAB WITH CHALK PAINT® - The easiest and most economical way to update your kitchen or built in cabinets is to paint over those cabinets!  And this class will walk you through the process.  We will go over degreasing cabinets and basic painting techniques as well as waxing.  We will cover prep work, help you decide on the finish, help you choose your color(s) and help you calculate how much paint you will need for your project!  You will be painting a cupboard door (supplied by Paddywac's) to practice your techniques on which you will take home with you. Class fee $95 and includes notes, wax tips, all supplies and light refreshments.  Class is held at Paddywac's, 201 E. Main St., Anoka, MN. Class size is limited and payment in advance is required to reserve your spot  Any cancellation less than 72 hours prior to class is subject to $50 cancellation fee.  We reserve the right to cancel class due to low attendance. CHALK PAINT® 201 - Beyond the basics!  This Workshop is for those who are looking to build on the Introductory Workshop.   If you have taken CHALK PAINT® 101 or have experience with CHALK PAINT® and want to learn more, then this is the class for you.  You will learn four unique finishes using multiple steps which create depth and age using some of the new techniques of Annie Sloan including Frottage, Craqueleur, Decoupage, Stenciling, and Simple Leaf and Foil using Artisan Enhancement products.  Learn more and Register on line here.

PAINT 'N WINE Fun Fridays - BYOP Makeovers with CHALK PAINT®  -  Gather your friends for an evening of fun.  BRING YOUR OWN PIECE evening is focused on fun and taking home your adorable completed project.  Instruction is given in the application and history of CHALK PAINT®, color consultation, distressing, clear and dark wax application, and required troubleshooting will be discussed.  Suggested items include small tables, frames, an item you can carry in by yourself.  Since the focus is on fun, feel free to bring your favorite adult beverage to enjoy with friends.  Learn more and REGISTER TODAY. 

LET'S GET PAINTING - A Perfect Mirror Frame - This is a great class for those that would rather learn by painting a project using CHALK PAINT® decorative paint by Annie Sloan.  Using one or two paint colors (choose from 31) you will learn about painting and finishing techniques while painting a wooden mirror with wood detail that you will take home with you.  All materials will be provided.

A Vintage Makeover

What a glorious weekend.  The weather was fantastic!  And, we were able to work at the shop for two whole days.  Project after project.  We love the transformations and wanted to share a story of a vintage cabinet makeover.

A few weeks ago, a customer asked if we were interested in an old Hoosier-type cabinet that, although salvageable, was structurally in need of major work.  This piece had been in her family for a long time but now it was time to go. The cabinet was definitely in need of TLC.  There was no back on the bottom, the shelves were unstable, hardware was very dated, and generally it needed cleaning.  Much like a piece or two we seem to accumulate in the garage and forget about.

Tricia went to work on the cabinet.  She put on a new back, glued, rearranged the drawer and shelves, cleaned, and fixed the top shelf.  Then she transformed it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  Primer Red for the base color and Chateau Grey over the top and distressed it.  It turned out absolutely darling!  It could set in a kitchen, serve as a craft center, adorable in a porch!  Come check it out.  We're open on Friday and Saturday, September 28 and 29.

Final step will be the new Hardware.
