CHALK PAINT and Easy Crackle by Artisan Enhancements

A simple transformation using CHALK PAINT® and Artisan Enhancements Easy Crackle.

We found this vase at a thrift store and purchased it for its practical use - to hold silks.  But we were looking for more of a Holiday look to be used with very blingy white silks.

The base color was perfect, but it needed to be toned down and more festive looking. The transformation was so easy!  First a coat of Artisan Enhancements Easy Crackle was applied over the vase.  Once thoroughly dry we applied Old White CHALK PAINT® and watched the magic crackle begin.  It crackled all over beautifully, showing the base coppery color perfectly muted with the White over it.  After it was dry, we applied a thin coat of wax.  Really, that's it.  Basically three steps to transform a vase using CHALK PAINT® and Easy Crackle.

This horse was transformed from a pink and blue child's carousel horse into an elegant Holiday display piece using Old White CHALK PAINT® and Artisan Enhancements Pearl Plaster.

This Italian lamp with cherubs originally was white, blue and gold.  We updated using CHALK PAINT® and several Artisan Enhancements products including Fine Store, and Crackle Tex.

The full line of CHALK PAINT® and Artisan Enhancements products can be found at Paddywac's including very affordable smaller quantities for those who what to try everything.

Hope to see you soon.

Lamp Transformation and a few pieces from a BRING A PIECE Class

We came across this lamp awhile back.  The bones were great but the style - not so much.  Working with Chalk Paint® and Artisan Enhancement products we transformed it from a shiny glass lamp into one that looks much like cement.

The Before

The during - here the first coat of Fine Stone has been applied to the lamp.  Let throughly dry before going on to the next step which was Crackle Tex and then Old White Chalk Paint® using a pull off technique.

And, the After!  Several steps were used in this transformation, Chalk Paint® colors were Country Grey and Old White, Artisan Enhancement Fine Stone, Crackle Tex, final step was Soft Clear Wax then Soft Dark Wax.

It looks very much like stone!
